It will be a sad day, as Firefox is the last major browser to support Mac OS X 10.6 through 10.8. At that point, Mac users using OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, 10.7 Lion, and 10.8 Mountain Lion will be left behind by the current versions of Firefox. It is scheduled to be replaced by Firefox 49.0 on September 13, 2016. An older very unofficial 27.9.15 build can be found here: Arctic Fox for 10.4/10. TenFourFox is a web browser based on the popular Firefox browser. On August 2, 2016, Firefox 48.0 was released. Ideally, we'd like to get it working on PowerPC 10.5 as well. As far as developers are concerned, the integration of Grand Central, OpenCL and a 64 bit kernel will allow you to take full advantage of the dual processing power of Intel Macs. Arctic Fox will build for Mac OS X 10.6 and up, Windows XP, i386/x8664/PowerPC Linux, and more than likely any other Unix/BSD varient. If your Mac is operating at a slow pace, then for that reason alone it is worth the upgrade to OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard.
